Drumroll please! And the winners are….

The Johnston County Chamber of Commerce $5,000 Cash Give-A-Way Christmas Shopping Promotion will end this Saturday, Dec. 19, with the names of 27 lucky winners being drawn – including one Grand Prize winner who will receive $1,000 cash.

Shoppers at participating merchants in Johnston County have until Saturday to receive one “Santa Buck” for every $10 spent on a single purchase up to 200 tickets ($2,000).

Santa Bucks can be left at the point of purchase, taken to the Chamber office, or deposited directly into the hopper before the drawings.

Participating businesses are asked to turn in all of their Santa Buck entries to the Chamber of Commerce no later than noon Saturday.

Santa Bucks may be entered into two drawings to be held this Saturday, Dec. 19 at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. on the corner of South Kemp and Mits-the-most-wonderful-time-of-the-year-smallain Street for chances to win thousands of dollars in cash to be given away when people need it most.

A total of $5,000 cash will be awarded to more than two dozen lucky winners during the drawings.

Participants must be present to win and will be given 60 seconds to claim their prize. Participants are eligible to win more than once.

A total of 13 winners will be announced at the 2 p.m. drawing, with prizes to be awarded as follows: one $500 winner; two $250 winners and ten $100 winners.

The drawing at 3 p.m. will include one $500 winner; two $250 winners and ten $100 winners, plus the Grand Prize Winner of $1,000 cash.

Winners will be able to pick up their prize money immediately after the drawings.

“Funds for the drawing were made possible through the generous contributions of local businesses to encourage people to shop at home for Christmas this year,” Delores Muse, interim Chamber director, said.

“You can’t win if you are not there, so plan now on spending Saturday in Tishomingo and getting that last minute shopping in before and after the drawings,” Muse said. “Someone is going to take home all of that money, and it could even be you.”
