The free event will offer a wide variety of activities for all members of the family to enjoy. Festivities will get underway at 11 a.m. with a balloon launch at The Ladysmith’s balcony, followed at 11:10 a.m. with a brief presentation regarding the Johnston County Fit Communities “Hot Wheelz” bike share program.
The live entertainment begins with a concert by the Overdrive Band, scheduled to begin at 11:15 a.m. on the Main Street stage. This will be followed at 12:40 p.m. by performances hosted by Astrid Dance Studio in Tishomingo.
Throughout the afternoon there will also be performances by the Tishomingo High School Choir; the Local Neighborhood Outlaws Band; Johnston County Talent Show winners Diamond Armstrong and Karolina Sikes; the Strongwood Band; Flipper Dash; and the Chance Anderson Band.
Other activities planned throughout the day include face painting, Wild West gunfight reenactments, and special activities on Neshoba Avenue including cornhole games, a five-gallon fishing bucket game and, from 2 to 5 p.m., a dummy roping contest.
Five food trucks, including Biggies’ Dippin’ Dots; Nacho Biznez; J’eet Yet; Smokin’ Okies; and the Grateful Bread Company.
Several retailers from across the state will also set up tents at Break on the Blue. They will include Pamper Me Boutique; BancFirst; the Cranky Bee; Chaney Lane Design; the Leopard Vine; Scentsy; Dirt Road Divas & Kids; Easy Products LLC; and the Girl Scouts of Oklahoma.
Friends of Pennington Creek will have a booth and provide information on Oklahoma wildlife and water conservation. In addition, local Tishomingo retailers and restaurants will be open and participating in the event.
In the evening the program moves indoors as The Platinum Ballroom hosts a concert by The John Evans Band. Doors open at 7 p.m., with the program scheduled to start at 8 p.m.
The concert is free and open to the public.
